These conditions govern use of Fayette County Criminal History. Viewing a page, reading its content, or submitting a query through an available tool signifies acceptance of every term below. If you do not agree, discontinue use of the site.

NO FCRA USE. Fayette County Criminal History is privately operated and has no affiliation with a local, Texas, or federal government body. The site and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This is a Fayette County, Texas record-reference resource, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site operates independently of government. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, conducts official checks, or files papers for a visitor.

Its function is to identify the Fayette County Sheriff, local court clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and other record channels. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, applies to records held by Texas governmental bodies. Public access to DPS conviction and deferred-adjudication information is addressed by Government Code § 411.135. Neither law makes this private resource an official custodian.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you must not:

  • Use the site in violation of federal, Texas, or local law
  • Stalk, threaten, or harass a person with information found here
  • Rely on site content for a hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decision
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools against the pages
  • Interfere with site operation or another visitor's access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information from this site or a linked service to intimidate, stalk, threaten, harass, or unlawfully discriminate against another person. That restriction is especially important for the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, which is maintained under Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 for public safety and awareness. Registry information does not authorize vigilante conduct or misuse against a listed person or family member.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Our advertising partners do not make this resource suitable for an FCRA-regulated decision. You may not use site or linked-tool data to:

  • Make a decision about hiring or continued employment
  • Evaluate a renter, tenant, or housing applicant
  • Set insurance eligibility, coverage, or price
  • Assess creditworthiness, lending, or credit terms
  • Make another decision governed by the FCRA

A legally permissible check for a regulated purpose must come from the Texas Department of Public Safety or a provider that complies with the FCRA and other applicable law.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Fayette County charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure rule applies to particular facts. Seek advice from a licensed Texas attorney.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are supplied "as is." We make no guarantee that:
